Children’s eye health

• Most children have good sight and do not require spectacles
• Some schools do vision screening for children aged 4-5 years
• If your child has a squint, family history of eye problems, or you have any concerns then see your optician
• Children under 16 are entitled to a free NHS sight test
• Your child doesn’t need to be able to read or talk to have their sight tested
